Ben Hill Griffin, Inc.
Born and raised in Frostproof, Florida, Ben Hill Griffin Jr., started with only 10 acres of grove and a small citrus packing house over 75 years ago. Now, Griffin's grandson, Ben Hill Griffin IV oversees thousands of acres of groves and a commercial cattle ranch through Ben Hill Griffin, Inc.
The Griffin's are members of Florida's Natural cooperative and have a long dedication to the community's economic prosperity. Ben Hill Griffin III was inducted into Florida Agricultural Hall of Fame and the Florida Citrus Hall of Fame in 2009 thanks to the success of his citrus empire in Central Florida.
The Ben Hill Griffin family are the proud owner of this Business Park.
2003
Lowe's Flatbed Distribution
In 2003, Ben Hill Griffin, Inc decided to introduced Lowe's Flatbed Distribution as the first park distribution center with 200,000 SF on 59 acres land.
Lowe's was founded in Mooresville, North Carolina in 1946 and has grown to be the second-largest home improvement retailer in the world.
2007
Ferguson Distribution Center
In 2007, Frostproof Business Park grew with the addition of Ferguson Distribution Center. Ferguson sits on about 70 acres within the Frostproof Business Park and their distribution center is 523,000 SF.
As one of 10 distribution center in the country, Ferguson is the largest distributor of plumbing supplies and pipes, valves and fittings and the third-largest distributor of heating and cooling equipment in the United States.
2018
Nucor Steel Plant
Frostproof expanded one more time to include Nucor Steel Plant, in 2018. The steel plant sits on 441 acres of land right outside of the Frostproof Business park. Nucor invested over $240 Million into this 620,000 SF plant and created 250+ jobs.
Founded in 1905 by Ransom E. Olds, creator of Oldsmobile, Nucor has become the largest producer and recycler of steel in America.
2024
Lowe's Flatbed Expansion
In 2024, Lowe's Flatbed Distribution expanded with another 150,000 SF building on site, showing their long term commitment to the park. Lowe's sits on 59 acres with approximately 350,000 SF between both of their buildings.

These concepts encompass various purposes, from individual user plans to bulk distribution, all of which integrate railway elements in their design. The potential buildings are planned to span a wide range of sizes, from 89,000 SF to a substantial 2,015,000 SF, ensuring they can accommodate the needs of different distributors.
